You can buy a ticket from a marketplace in ninety seconds. What you cannot buy from a marketplace is someone telling you that the infield does not see the finish line, or that the Final Four lottery closed ten months before anyone knew who was playing, or that Presidents' Day weekend is why the hotel quote looks like that.
Sports Travel Zone is a service of Early and Away Travel, LLC, a registered seller of travel. We earn a commission when you book, and that is our entire compensation. We would rather tell you the honest thing and lose the sale than sell you a trip you will resent.

Sports Travel Zone comes out of a family travel practice. My wife Stacy built Early and Away around trips where the destination and the reading list belong together, and the same instinct works for sport. The event is the reason you go. Everything around it is what decides whether the trip was worth the year you spent waiting for it.
Motorsport is my own beat and it has a separate home at Racing Passport. The rest of the sporting year lives here.

Why use an advisor instead of booking through a ticket marketplace directly?
A marketplace can sell you a ticket in ninety seconds, but it will not tell you that the infield does not see the finish line, or that a lottery closed ten months before anyone knew who was playing, or why a hotel quote looks the way it does over a holiday weekend. An advisor catches the things that make or break the trip.
Does Sports Travel Zone handle motorsport travel too?
No. Motorsport is a separate practice at Racing Passport, run by the same founder. Sports Travel Zone covers the rest of the sporting calendar.
Where does Sports Travel Zone come from?
It comes out of a family travel practice. Robert's wife Stacy built Early and Away around trips where the destination and the reading list belong together, and Sports Travel Zone applies that same instinct to sport.
Booking and logistics
How does payment and the deposit work?
You reserve your package with a per-person deposit and pay the balance on a set schedule, with final payment typically due 60 days before departure. Deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, so we recommend travel insurance to protect what you pay. Your booking is transacted by a licensed tour operator whose full written terms govern your trip, and no payment is taken through this website. The full terms are on our legal and disclosures page.
Can you plan a trip for one person or a couple?
Yes. Package prices are quoted per person and depend on how many people share a room, so solo travelers and couples are quoted accordingly. Tell us your group and we will price it honestly.
Can you handle a large group?
Yes. We handle private groups, typically parties of eight or more, with dedicated coordination for the tickets, hotel, and logistics so everyone travels together smoothly.
Is Sports Travel Zone a legitimate, licensed agency?
Yes. We are a registered seller of travel, California CST 2155818-70 and Florida ST43282, a service of Early and Away Travel, LLC. Your booking is fulfilled by a licensed tour operator, and we earn a commission when you book.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, and event tickets and hotel-only reservations are final once booked. If you cancel, any amount already paid cannot be refunded, which is why we strongly recommend travel insurance. If an event is postponed or cancelled, you receive updated tickets or a credit only to the extent the ticket or hotel vendor refunds the operator.
