What is the difference between a Ground Pass and a reserved session ticket?
A Ground Pass gets you into the grounds and every outside court, John Cain Arena general admission, KIA Arena, and the fan zones, but it does not admit you to Rod Laver Arena or Margaret Court Arena. Those two show courts require a separate reserved ticket for a specific day or night session.
What is the difference between a day session and a night session?
Day session ticket holders can access the grounds from 10am, with outside-court play starting at 11am and Rod Laver and Margaret Court matches from 12pm. Night session holders access the grounds from 5pm, with show-court play starting at 7pm. Each session is sold as a separate ticket.
How hot does it get in Melbourne in January, and does that affect play?
Melbourne summers can bring sharp heat spikes during tournament weeks. The Australian Open runs an Extreme Heat Policy that can pause outside-court play and close the roofs on Rod Laver and Margaret Court Arenas when conditions cross set thresholds, so the show courts stay playable even on the hottest days.
Can we watch specific players or is seating just for a session?
Reserved tickets are sold by session, not by matchup, and the order of play for each court is published closer to the day. Tell us who you most want to see and which stage of the tournament, and we will plan sessions and dates around the best chance of catching them.
How does pricing work if there is no listed price?
Australian Open packages are quoted, not fixed, because seating tier, session mix, hotel category, and group size all move the number. Tell us your dates and priorities and we will put together a real quote rather than a placeholder rate.
Is Melbourne Park easy to reach from a CBD hotel?
Yes. Melbourne Park sits just across the Yarra River from the central business district, an easy walk or a short tram ride from most CBD hotels, which is part of why a Melbourne base works so well for this trip.

How does payment and the deposit work?
You reserve your package with a per-person deposit and pay the balance on a set schedule, with final payment typically due 60 days before departure. Deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, so we recommend travel insurance to protect what you pay. Can you plan a trip for one person or a couple?
Yes. Package prices are quoted per person and depend on how many people share a room, so solo travelers and couples are quoted accordingly. Tell us your group and we will price it honestly.
Can you handle a large group?
Yes. We handle private groups, typically parties of eight or more, with dedicated coordination for the tickets, hotel, and logistics so everyone travels together smoothly.
Is Sports Travel Zone a legitimate, licensed agency?
Yes. We are a registered seller of travel, California CST 2155818-70 and Florida ST43282, a service of Early and Away Travel, LLC. Your booking is fulfilled by a licensed tour operator, and we earn a commission when you book.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, and event tickets and hotel-only reservations are final once booked. If you cancel, any amount already paid cannot be refunded, which is why we strongly recommend travel insurance. If an event is postponed or cancelled, you receive updated tickets or a credit only to the extent the ticket or hotel vendor refunds the operator.
