FAQ
Questions people actually ask
What is the difference between the parade-only and Game and Parade packages?
Parade-only packages cover the hotel, transportation, and a reserved grandstand seat for the Tournament of Roses Parade. Game and Parade packages add a reserved seat inside the Rose Bowl and the pre-game fan experience, for a single New Year's Day that covers both events.
Do I need to know which teams are playing before I book?
No. The Rose Bowl's participating teams come from the College Football Playoff and are not confirmed until early December. The date, the hotel, and the seating are fixed regardless of matchup, so booking early locks in the trip before rates and availability tighten.
What is the difference between grandstand seating and watching from the curb?
A grandstand seat is a reserved, elevated spot you hold for the whole parade. Curbside viewing along the public route is free but unreserved, and holding a decent spot means arriving hours before sunrise with no seat once you get there.
When should I book?
As early as possible. Hotel rooms near the Rose Bowl and the parade route on New Year's weekend are limited, and the payment structure is built around locking your spot with a deposit well ahead of the trip.
Is airfare included?
No. You book your own flights into LAX, and private transportation takes over from there for the airport transfer and every scheduled activity.
How does payment work?
A $500 per person deposit books your spot. The remaining balance is due in full on October 15, 2026, as a single payment rather than a series of installments.
Booking and logistics
How does payment and the deposit work?
You reserve your package with a per-person deposit and pay the balance on a set schedule, with final payment typically due 60 days before departure. Deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, so we recommend travel insurance to protect what you pay. Your booking is transacted by a licensed tour operator whose full written terms govern your trip, and no payment is taken through this website. The full terms are on our legal and disclosures page.
Can you plan a trip for one person or a couple?
Yes. Package prices are quoted per person and depend on how many people share a room, so solo travelers and couples are quoted accordingly. Tell us your group and we will price it honestly.
Can you handle a large group?
Yes. We handle private groups, typically parties of eight or more, with dedicated coordination for the tickets, hotel, and logistics so everyone travels together smoothly.
Is Sports Travel Zone a legitimate, licensed agency?
Yes. We are a registered seller of travel, California CST 2155818-70 and Florida ST43282, a service of Early and Away Travel, LLC. Your booking is fulfilled by a licensed tour operator, and we earn a commission when you book.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, and event tickets and hotel-only reservations are final once booked. If you cancel, any amount already paid cannot be refunded, which is why we strongly recommend travel insurance. If an event is postponed or cancelled, you receive updated tickets or a credit only to the extent the ticket or hotel vendor refunds the operator. The full terms are on our legal and disclosures page and are provided to you in writing before you book.
